About Rotary
Rotary is the leading service organisation founded more than one hundred years ago to provide excellence in community service. Our membership is made up of a wide variety of men and women who either live or work in Williamstown or have a connection to our local community. The common thread is that we all want to give something back to those in need of help or assistance.
As Rotarians
We pride ourselves in making lasting contributions to both local and international communities without the encumbrance of costly agencies that syphon funds for their administration. Rotary is run by committed volunteers who through their annual membership dues pay for all administration costs including the running of the International Head Office.
The Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand is proud to be a part of the Rotary International network which is working on the eradication of Polio as one of its global humanitarian projects.
We focus on supporting local causes which help with disadvantaged youth and others within our community.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Customs House Hotel, 161 Nelson Place, Williamstown. We are entertained and informed by interesting speakers keep us up to date with current affairs and community projects. Members are encouraged to attend meetings, and join in the participation of club projects and activities as this is where the true spirit of the “Gellibabies” is best experienced and the value of Rotary in the community really appreciated.
